Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog, Christina’s
Craftables.
I know this might come as a shock, but I am Christina and I
like to craft.
So what on earth is my blog trying to accomplish that isn’t
already being done? Well, for starters,
I want to make a simple to follow, hopefully mildly amusing blog doing tutorials
for Silhouette Studio Designer Edition.
I dislike YouTube tutorials that are five minutes of introduction followed
by one minute of the answer you actually came looking for finished up with three
minutes of gibberish. So I am looking to
create clear, concise, and thoroughly written posts that you can follow along
with. By the end of my tutorial series I
hope there is literally no question left for anyone to ask. It’s a big goal, but at least it is something
to strive for.
Speaking of goals, I wanted to lay out some goals that I
have for this blog. Not only to hold me accountable
to myself, but also to my many fans (all one of you… hi Mom!). The best goals
have to be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. I won’t lie, when I first wrote that out, I
kid you not, I spelled it SMRAT….. I’m off to a great start guys.
My goals for this blog are as follows:
Short-Term Goal:
I would like to figure out how on earth one goes about blogging and making it
look pretty in addition to adding some content that people would like to read.
Mid-Term Goal: I am
going to commit to one new blog post a week for a total of 52 weeks.
Long-Term Goals:
1.)
I would like to add a freebie Friday type thing
by the end of the year.
2.)
I would also like to have project blog days
where I go step by step on how to create a project that should take less than
an hour as you follow along.
3.)
I would love to eventually quit my day job and
craft full time! Feel free to check out my small but growing Etsy store to aid in my journey!
So, there you have it. My goals for this blog. It is not out there on the internet…
forever. I have to stick with it now. I really hope you guys come back. I’m already looking forward to my next post! As a thank you for stopping by here is a picture of one of my cats, Gizmo.
